What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let a site remember a visit or measure how pages are used.
Cookies on MyHomeLobby
MyHomeLobby uses one kind of cookie of its own choosing: analytics cookies. They come from Google Analytics, which we use to measure visits in aggregate.
Google Search Console shows us how the site appears in Google Search. It does not place cookies on your browser. The site has no user accounts, no comments and no display ads, so it sets no cookies for those.
Cookies from affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may set its own cookie so a resulting purchase can be credited to MyHomeLobby. Those cookies fall under the store’s own policies, not ours. See the Affiliate Disclosure for how the links work.
What the analytics cookies do
Analytics cookies help us count visits and see which pages readers open. We use the results in aggregate to understand what is useful. We do not use them to identify you, and the site has no accounts that would tie a visit to a person.
- Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics to measure visits
- Affiliate cookies: may be set by Amazon after you click a link
- No other cookies: the site does not run display ads, comments or logins
How to block or delete cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies in its settings. You can usually clear existing cookies, block all new ones, or block only those from third parties. The steps differ by browser, so check your browser’s help pages.
Blocking cookies does not stop you from reading MyHomeLobby. Every page works without them.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts using a new tool that sets cookies, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
